Biography

     Brothers With Voices, an all-male Christian  acappella group, is based in Spartanburg, South Carolina.  The group formed in 1992 at the Sigsbee Church of Christ in Spartanburg, S.C.  Their debute was a performance at a New Convert program at the congregation.  The group performs at various community functions such as weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and funerals.  The group also performs at other singing engagements, either alone or with other singing groups.
    
        In 2002, the National Academy of Christian A Cappella Music Artists, nominated the group as Best New Artist Male Group, Best Male Traditional Group and Best Male Contemporary Group.  Brothers With Voices, often referred to as BWV, was awarded Best Male Traditional Group.
    
        Current  members are :  Ivan Thomas- lead, tenor/baritone ; Frank Davis- lead, fifth tenor ; Arthur Means- lead, tenor/baritone; Michael Kimble- lead, tenor/baritone ; Cartez Thomas- lead, tenor/baritone/bass; Joel Blanding- bass and Rena Miller- bass.  Special sound effects are performed by all members.
